Hālau Hula ʻO Hokulani was founded in 1985 by Aunty Hokulani and her husband Uncle Larry. The first students of the hālau were their children and the neighbors that surrounded their Wahiawa home. Today, the students of the hālau now expand past Hawaii, into Asia and across Europe. Aunty Hoku and Uncle Larry have built a legacy and trusted the continuation of the Hawaiian culture to their daughters, Leinani and Kehaulani. Together, the Hokulani duo, upholds the foundational vision for the hālau that was first established by Aunty and Uncle: "build strong family units through hula!"
