Foodland Farms Ka Makana Ali‘i Offers Drive-Up Flu Shot Clinic

Patients can remain in their vehicle during the flu shot and receive a $5 Foodland gift card

KAPOLEI, HI (October 9, 2020) — Ka Makana Ali‘i is pleased to offer its community convenient flu shots on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Foodland Farms’ Drive-Up Flu Shot Clinic. Appointments can be made at www.foodland.com/flushot; walk-ins will be accepted as space allows.

WHAT: Drive-Up Flu Shot Clinic

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 10
6:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

WHERE: Parking lot between Hampton Inn and Foodland Farms at Ka Makana Ali‘i

Patients must bring a valid I.D. and health insurance card to the appointment. Upon arrival, patients can drive up to the Foodland Pharmacy pop-up tent and will be directed to park in a designated stall. A licensed pharmacist will approach each patient’s vehicle to review paperwork, I.D., health insurance card and any preliminary questions before administering the flu shot.

Flu shots will be administered with patients sitting in their vehicle whenever possible. Masks shall be worn by all participants. If this is not possible, there will be a chair available for patients to sit in while their flu shot is administered. Once patients receive their flu shot, the pharmacist will ask them to stay seated in their vehicle for a few minutes to ensure they are feeling okay and are safe to drive.

The Foodland Farms Ka Makana Ali‘i Drive-Up Flu Shot Clinic accepts the following insurances: HMSA, HMAA, HMA, UHA, PSWA and Kaiser. Medicare, Medicaid, and other federally funded insurances do not qualify for the $5 gift card or other promotional offers. Eligible patients will not pay any copayments unless otherwise required by their plan. Patients can also visit Foodland pharmacies to receive a flu shot. Guests are asked to avoid entering the Center if they have flu-like symptoms or otherwise do not feel well. Guests entering the property are asked to maintain a six-foot distance from one another and to avoid shaking hands or engaging in unnecessary physical contact. Patrons entering the Center shall wear face masks that cover the nose and mouth. These should be worn at all times while at Ka Makana Ali‘i.
