Ka Makana Ali‘i Welcomes Photography Studio THE VIBE & Cookie Corner to the Center for West O‘ahu

The new photography studio offers affordable photo sessions for every holiday,
while Cookie Corner bakes up O‘ahu’s favorite cookies at the Center

KAPOLEI, HI (December 10, 2020) — Ka Makana Ali‘i welcomes the first-ever Photography Studio THE VIBE to the Center. At approximately 2,100 square feet, Photography Studio THE VIBE is an indoor photo studio specializing in everything from baby & kids, couple, family, friendship, wedding, portrait, event and holiday sessions. Located in the Macy’s wing across from Valyou Furniture, the new studio can even do commercial, passport, real estate and engagement photos.

Owner Jaesung Lee worked at a photo studio in Korea before moving to O‘ahu 10 years ago from Seoul. Before opening Photography Studio THE VIBE, he owned a photography business in Waikiki specializing in outdoor photo shoots for Korean travelers on honeymoone, family vacation, or weddings. When the pandemic slowed travel and the opportunity opened up to create a business like those that are popular in Korea, Lee took it. it. The studio is home to countless backdrops and more than six different photo stations that change based on the season, upcoming holidays and the amount of people in the session. Many of the props at Photography Studio THE VIBE were built by the photographers themselves.

Photo packages range from as little as $50 for a 10-minute walk-in session, to $150 for a 30-minute holiday session and $250 for a 1-hour session. The Center for West O‘ahu also welcomed Cookie Corner to Ka Makana Ali‘i just in time for Chirstmas gifting. Located in the theatre wing of the Center between Lids and GNC, the 1,030-square-foot store sells original size cookies, traditional bite-size cookies, Island-style bite-size cookies, tropical fruit bars, shortbread cookies and biscotti. It is the 14th Cookie Corner location on O‘ahu. Cookie Corner has been baking up cookies with an extra morsel of aloha since 1981.
